Have you ever held back from doing something even though deep down you know you really wanted to do it? Did you ever hold back because you were just scared or didn’t have a true reason to not do it?

I could be talking about anything honestly; That new job you think you want but you’re just not quite sure if its for you or not, buying a super expensive TV when you know you can afford it but you don’t know if you’re going to want to spend that money on something else, or whatever your mind comes up with.

A lot of decisions probably ride around the topic of money. Do I have enough money to get this? Do I have a little bit extra to spend to go on that vacation I’ve always wanted to go on. Do I really want to pay for that even though I don’t NEED it?

Well a lot of these decisions can be easily solved. Just buy a magic eight ball and it’ll tell you what to do!

TOTALLY KIDDING.

Depending on the scenario you’re debating with yourself on, I think your gut and taking that leap of faith is going to do you wonders.

For instance, I just recently was approached by this very sweet and kind girl on instagram who works for a certain business and she asked me to join her! Now my first thoughts were, alright this is a total scam. She’s just trying to take my money and run with it, its not real.

But after a while I got to thinking.

Maybe this isn’t a scam. Maybe she actually wants me to join her company and is trying to get me interested in this great opportunity.

Change is so hard for many people and a lot of people take the safe route and don’t ever try anything new and I’m over here thinkin, what kind of a life is that?

So I’m going to take my own advice, take that leap of faith, and run with it. You honestly never know how something is going to turn out unless you try. It might be a scam and I might waste my money on something that was nothing.

OR

It could be the best thing that ever happened to me and I end up loving it.

I know it’s difficult to see past the area of unknown. It’s like looking across a field and not being able to see the other side but you have a feeling there’s something on the other side that is important.

It’s a battle with yourself sometimes, I get it.

As scary as it is, once you do it, every time after that is just going to be that much easier. It’s such a basic quote when people say, “you’ll never know unless you try it” but it’s so relevant in everyday life.

TAKE THAT LEAP OF FAITH. QUIT LETTING FEAR CONTROL YOUR LIFE.

Fooducate Yourselves

Fooducate… May or may not be a word but whatever.

I am one of those people who love to try new things though. Whether its a different genre of music to listen to, a different book, a new hobby I’ve never done or a new restaurant/ meal to try.

This is when the word fooducate comes into action. I bet you know a few people who literally order the same thing at the same restaurant you and your friends always hit up… Maybe that person’s you? I don’t know, there are no judgements here, only friendly suggestions.

One friendly suggestion is to stop being so afraid to try something new. Now I know what a few of you are thinking. “I don’t want to waste my money on it if I don’t like it”, “I have a feeling I don’t think I’ll like it”, “It’s so much easier to just get the same thing every time”.

Quit it.

How are you supposed to know you don’t like something till you actually try it? You could try a new ice cream flavor and just fall completely and madly in love with it and end up saying it was the best $5 you ever spent.

YOU NEVER KNOW. I think that’s the rush I like behind it. The feeling of not knowing what’s going to happen or how it’ll make you feel. Taking risks is definitely a hobby of mine if you could call it that.

Every time I go somewhere new, or hit up some cool places, I always wonder what the greatest restaurants are in the area. I love local places that aren’t chain restaurants where they serve their own personal types of food that no other place has.

Not only is it fun to explore a new area but finding a super cute not well known restaurant actually gives me a bit of a rush as weird as that sounds.

For example, want to know what I had the other day? Of course you don’t, who would care but I’m gonna tell you anyways. LOBSTER GRILLED CHEESE. I can’t stop thinking about it because it was that good. Lobster in a grilled cheese sandwich… Holy yum am I right? I love creative people.

I also follow this Instagram page that shows you different types of super cool meals that are from different cities. They’ll tell you the restaurant it’s from too so if you’re in the area, you can stop by. The account is called @infatuation. I highly recommend you give them a follow if you love food like I do.

The picture I put at the top of this article I actually took myself and it’s from this cute little café in Minneapolis called Black: Coffee and Waffle Bar. They’re waffles are heavenly and so pretty too. I’d be hella broke if I lived anywhere close to it trust me.

So for all you food lovers everywhere, don’t be afraid to try the new restaurants in your area or take a little extra time to go somewhere else you haven’t been even if it’s a bit farther! Many of you will definitely thank me and be able to recommend new places to friends and family!

I mean, how many times have you heard people say, “Oh my gosh you guys have to go to Applebees, they have the best food ever”…. Like never cause almost every human in this world has been to Applebees at some point in their life.

Anyways, thanks so much for reading guys, I know the article wasn’t as long today but I’m going to start posting a little bit more than I have been lately I promise! I have not had too much time on my hands and even less motivation/ creativity to come up with new articles to write about.

No, I Will Not Feel Bad About Eating An Entire Pizza

Quit lookin at those last few slices and feeling bad about wanting them. You’ve got that Cosmopolitan magazine staring back at you with the words “new diet plan”, “check out Kendall Jenners’ crazy workouts”, or see a picture of a super edited good looking celeb on the cover.

Just think, “please, I could be on that cover if I wanted to.” There are so many images that are being thrown at you everyday showing you the way that you should look. How else are we supposed to think when all we know is what we are constantly exposed to?

Don’t get me wrong, I am definitely into living a healthy lifestyle and loving my body but that doesn’t mean I should feel bad when I want to indulge every once in a while. So no, I am not going to feel bad about eating that entire pizza. I will not make myself feel worse by looking at how many calories it is or how much fat is in it.

Yes, I do typically make healthy decisions but that lets me know that if I am craving some cookies or a pizza, I’m not gonna give a s*** when I reach for it.

Oh yeah, trust me, you’ll probably reach for the last slice and then all of a sudden see a commercial come on for Victoria’s Secret or Calvin Klein and just for a split second, you look down and think, is it worth it. STOP. IT TOTALLY IS.

There are girls as young as 6 thinking about their bodies and worrying that they’re too fat or not pretty enough. This sickens me in so many ways because they shouldn’t have to feel that way or have to be exposed to the “ideal body” every corner they turn.

If you want some freakn’ ice cream, girl you go for it. Guys too. I talk like this whole thing is meant to target girls but guys, I know you think the same way. Maybe not as bad, but I totally get it.

My biggest advice to people is to quit comparing yourself to everyone. If everyone was the same, life would be absolutely boring as hell. I do occasionally will look at a beautiful looking person and think wow, I want her this or that but that doesn’t mean I think of myself any less.

Honestly, this is not original and you’ve probably heard it a million times but confidence is truly the sexiest thing a girl can wear. You could be the happiest person in the world even though you can feel a zit growing on your face or you aren’t really fond of a few little insecurities.

Every damn person on earth has at least some insecurities. I’m sure even Zayn Malik has insecurities and LOOK AT HIM. He probably hates his feet for some reason or doesn’t like his hairline who the hell knows. But none of us would ever think about that because we look past those stupid tiny aspects on people.

Just because you hate the way your body is shaped, or you hate your voice doesn’t mean everyone else does. There are people who might love those things about you!

And don’t feel bad about trying to better yourself either. These are two completely different concepts. Just being confident in everything that is about you will make you a thousand times happier with life and with yourself.

So get down, live life, get up, twerk, blast some music, eat an entire tub of Ben and Jerry’s half baked ice cream, do whatever the hell you want. Go buy a plane ticket for all I care with the money you don’t have (or do, I mean, I don’t but I’d probably buy the ticket anyways)… JUST LOVE YOURSELF YOU BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEINGS.

Do You Really Know Who You Are?

How many times have you heard “Oh my god, why would you do that?”, “Ew, no, don’t do that”, “Stop you’re embarrassing yourself”…? It might be just me, but I’ve heard it too many times to count.

Everyone has a perception of who you should be or what the world should look like and they worship it like it’s their own religion. Nothing in this world would change their mind or make them see something differently.

It’s those stubborn minds that screw with your own and make you doubt everything you ever think or know about yourself.

I am a victim of this as well, you’re not the only one.

There will be times when I will be shopping with a friend or with my mom and I’ll pick up a shirt I absolutely love and then ask them for their opinion on it. Right there is the first instance of me wanting approval from others for my own likes and dislikes.

How insane does this sound?

We all are just searching for approval and acceptance from the people we love in order to be truly happy. I have spent so much of my life trying to make every single person I come in contact with, like me.

It’s impossible but I still try. It’s this tiny thing called insecurity when I found out someone doesn’t like me or has a problem with me that makes me think I did something wrong. Of course I didn’t, and I know that, I just can’t get the thought out of my mind that I could have done something different to get them to change their perspective about me.

Lemme tell you, it’s not the right mind set at all. It’s also crazy time consuming to try to make every single person happy in your life. I’m not saying blow a friend off if they want to talk or hang out with you when you don’t have anything going on, I’m just saying it’s not easy.

Give yourself a little credit from time to time. That’s a good quality to have, just be sure to make time to have yourself be happy too.

However, why would we be going through all this work to please people when you don’t even know who you are or you’re not being yourself. It’s like you’re lying to all of them because all you want to do is get them to enjoy your presence.

I think the most important thing a person can do is to find out who they truly are. It’s terrifying knowing that if you find out who you are is nothing like the way you’ve been living but it’s completely worth it in the end.

I still don’t truly know exactly who I am but I have a better idea after looking into these 3 questions I recently found. Trust me, it’s worth it to find yourself.

1.What would you do if you couldn’t fail? 

So many people are petrified of the idea of failure. They don’t take risks because of the possibility of it. Some don’t ever try anything new because they fear the outcome might not be what they wanted.

But what if you knew you couldn’t fail? What if it was completely impossible and not an option. What would you do?

2. What makes you genuinely happy? 

Family? Friends? What makes you the most happy. Dig deep into your favorite memories or the times where you forgot the world around you even existed. Those are the times that you find yourself being the happiest.

3. If money were no object, how would you live your life differently?

You’re life isn’t circled around how much money you have, it might not even be about the money. But you always hear people talking about money=happiness. So if money weren’t an object, what would be the things you would change about your life?

Would you live it differently? Keep it the same? Maybe buy others things you know they can’t afford? Who knows. But really think about this one. Imagine your life if money wasn’t an object. Do you think you’d be truly happy living that way? Think again a second time and maybe even a third. You’ll notice your mind starts changing and after a while you truly imagine what you would like your life to look like.


It took me a little while to come up with the answers to those questions but it really does help. It’s always been in the back of my mind to know exactly who I am and if I am living the way I want. I wondered that if I found out who I am, I might have a different view on the world.

I gotta say, it is a bit of an eye opener and I hope that you guys benefited from asking yourself these questions. I know it helped me!

The Truth About Yoga And Meditation

I actually just recently started getting more into the whole yoga and meditation scene. Let me tell you, it has seriously changed my life. If anyone is looking at it and not sure whether they want to start it or not, I would highly recommend it.

When I say meditation though, I don’t mean trying to call some spirits or mumbling something creepy… No. Literally all meditation is is just taking a little bit of time out of your day (typically 5-10 minutes) to just sit in silence where you know you won’t have any distractions.

It’s a great way to let your mind wander and not get worried about anything happening around you. Usually I do it in the mornings right when I wake up after a quick session of some yoga stretches.

For me, I just snag one of my million pillows off my bed, place it on the floor for comfort when I sit on it, and maybe light up a few candles.

You truly can do this anywhere you feel comfortable and quiet. For me, my room is typically the best option but if you can’t get anything done with people in the house (if you have roommates, family, etc.), you might even find a quiet room in your local library or even a yoga studio nearby that would let you have some peace.

Once you’ve found a place of serenity, place your pillow, mat, or whatever you have to sit on to make it as comfortable as possible, on the floor. Then, cross your legs in a sitting position and place your hands comfortably on your knees with your palms facing towards the sky. I usually just relax my hands but if you want, many people touch their thumbs to their middle fingers or pointer fingers and hold them that way.

Close your eyes and just sit there for however long you would like. Most people start out only going for a few minutes but once you make it a habit, you’ll bump it up to about 15 minutes or longer if you choose. Make sure you are focusing on your breathing. Breathe in through your nose and feel the air fill up in your lungs, hold for a three count, then release the air out of your mouth. I truly find this the best way to relax.


Meditating has so many benefits for you as well:

  • Relieves stress and anxiety by helping you relax
  • It has been known to have mental health benefits such as better focus, memory, happiness, self control, and more.
  • It’s also a great way to understand yourself better and have a better self-awareness.

The modern day of life has people constantly stressed and constantly worried about work and life. Little does everyone know how beneficial it is to just take 15 minutes tops out of their day dedicated to getting a little self-awareness.

Yoga has the same benefits as all of these, it just takes a little bit more effort than just sitting in silence and letting the mind wander.

However, yoga has way more physical benefits and mental benefits to it. For example, a few include giving you peace of mind, better posture and balance, helps you focus, lowers blood sugar, and many many others.

I know reading this it may seem a tad weird to change your lifestyle just a tiny bit to include one of these two things in your daily life but starting is always the hard part. It might also seem weird to even meditate in the first place like “I don’t need to do this, I’m totally healthy and fine with the way I am.” That’s great but anything can always be improved.

I’m not forcing anyone to partake in such an act but you will never know how amazing the feeling is of meditation or yoga until you try it out yourself. I can sit here and write out all these great things about it, but you’ll never know the full experience unless you take my advice and just try it at least once.

Once you have started to see and feel the benefits yourself, you won’t be able to imagine not doing it everyday.

Ways People Can Be Attractive Without Their Looks

The people you are attracted to are your own personal unique attractions. Some agree on certain people being attractive but others might disagree with your opinion.

For instance, you can’t deny Zac Efron is literally a creation of the gods…  A lot of humans will agree with this statement.

But there aren’t enough Zac Efrons to please every girl on Earth. That is why we have many different aspects of attraction!

Some might look at body, some might look at their face. They might be attracted to straight teeth, good hair, blue eyes, green eyes, tall people, short people, etc.

But the physical aspects only a sliver of some of the ways a person can be attractive! Here’s a couple other ways someone can be attractive other than their looks.

1. Personality

Someone’s personality can be such a huge factor in a relationship. If you are extremely attracted to the person but hate their personality, it’s gonna go down the drain real freakn quick.

Who they are as a person has a huge effect on the way you look at them. Which leads me into my next few reasons.

2. Sense of Humor

A sense of humor is huge. Everyone has some sort of sense of humor. Find someone who has the same sense of humor as you and you will be happy for the rest of your life I swear.

Laughter is the biggest pick up and most attractive thing you can make someone do. If you can make the other person laugh till they pee themselves, there’s a little hint that there’s definitely something there.

3. Generous

Being generous is just a trait that is very attractive on anyone. If you have a heart, then you will receive hearts back (if that makes any sense).

Knowing someone cares about people and things around them is such a good trait to have. It shows everyone that you aren’t selfish in any way and that you won’t be that way towards them.

If you end up getting in a relationship with a generous person, you know they aren’t going to ever worry about their own well being because they are going to be so focused on how you are.

4. Good Listener

Whether I’m talking about girls or guys, someone who can be a good listener is HUGE.

Trust me, nobody want’s someone who is constantly talking about themselves or gossiping about something irrelevant to the conversation they were just having. It’s not attractive. It’s actually annoying.

Find someone who can sit for hours talking to you but know you don’t have to be the one to sit their in silence. They’ll let you get your turn to talk or to share your thoughts!

5. Success Driven

Seeing someone be so passionate about something is one of the most attractive qualities a person can have.

It doesn’t even matter whether they are trying to be the president or even just taking the initiative to change something about the place they are working at.

If they have that goal striving attitude, they will have my heart. It really is just heart warming to see someone try so hard to achieve something they are really passionate about.

6. Confident

Anyone who is anyone is attractive if they are confident in their own skin. It DOES NOT MATTER whether you are Angelina Jolie or some random person who isn’t the most attractive.

If you are confident in yourself and all your flaws, then you are in a great place. You actually might be a step ahead of most people in becoming happy with themselves.

Sooooo many people need to understand how to be confident because once you are content with who you are as a person, there is no stopping you in your lifetime of success and happiness.

Everyone will look at you and say “Damn, I wish I was that chill about everything. I wish I could just let go and not care so much.”

7. Not Constantly On Their Phone

If you can stay off your phone the whole time you are talking to someone, you are 5 steps ahead of a s*** ton of people out in this world.

Peoples’ phones are chained to their hands nowadays and it feels like they never set it down to just take a look around at the world that is right in front of them.

Someone who likes to adventure and/ or do fun activities not dealing with their phone typically has more life and energy in them throughout the day than someone who is constantly staring at a phone screen.

Tis The Black Friday Season

It’s that time of year again… The “I will get this tv at this price if I have to bite off an ear for it” season. This is probably my favorite time of the year though despite the snow.

I have this tiny bit of hate for snow and I don’t know why. I don’t despise it but I am definitely not fond of it.

Anyways, in about four days there will be an ambush of people at about every department and convenience store around the U.S. People setting up camps, drinking their red bull to keep their eyes open, and any other ridiculous tactic to be able to rush into Wal-Mart as fast as they possibly can so they can savage away at the insane deals.

I for one, am supposed to be working at one of those department stores…

Yay.

It might actually be a life experience if I have to pull two girls’ hair away from each other because they are fighting over a pair of $5 shoes.

People are insane. This will also be my first time working on black friday… lord help me.

I swear black friday is just another word for the hunger games. People turn into animals when it comes to deals.

My the odds be ever in your favor you savages.

A couple of tips I would think would be smart is to get to the back the quickest. That way, you can get all the good stuff in the back because most people just grab the first few things they see.

Then just work your way up. I know you can do this, this is what you’ve been training for.

Sprint as fast as you can because I guarantee you’ll beat a hell of a lot of people if you run crazy fast. That way you have the advantage of getting all the good gifts from the back first.

Maybe buy some walkee talkies so you and someone else can tag team what area of the store you’ll be patrolling.

I don’t know how desperate some of you are for these gift deals but honestly, these aren’t bad ideas…

Don’t be afraid to throw elbows if you feel the need. No mercy on this day.

Don’t forget to snipe a cart too, you’re gonna need the protection and extra storage to hold all your s***.

You could even put someone in the cart while the other pushes and try to run through the crowds while the person in the cart stands up and reaches over everyone to get the items on the top shelves.

I honestly don’t know why I decided to work on black friday this year, I’d be a grade A black friday shopper with all my genius ideas I’m coming up with!
